Two Charged After Woman Stabbed, Kicked

Winnipeg Police CrestTwo people are in police custody after a vicious attack on a 21-year-old woman early Saturday morning.

The victim became involved in a verbal altercation with an 18-year-old woman at around 1:45 a.m. in the 300 block of Logan Avenue.

The situation escalated and the victim was stabbed several times in the upper and lower body. An 18-year-old man joined in and allegedly kicked the victim as she lay on the ground from her injuries.

The woman was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.

The two suspects were located by police a short time later in the 200 block of Fountain Street.

Shaquill Houle, 18 has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.

Harrison Beaulieu, 18, has been charged with aggravated assault.

Both remain in custody.
