Assiniboine Park Zoo (CHRISD.CA FILE)
Sustainability will be the message of the day on Tuesday at Assiniboine Park Zoo.
The zoo is hosting a day-long event with 18 booths throughout its property to educate visitors on recycling, buying local and reducing waste.
Sustainability Day is a partnership between Take Pride Winnipeg and the Manitoba Education for Sustainable Development Working Group.
Exhibitors will be sharing ideas on sustainability and visitors can learn how to integrate them into their homes, classrooms and neighbourhoods.
The zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
