A former Winnipegger is returning to join the Assiniboine Park Conservancy’s executive team.
Bruce Keats spent the last 11 years in Singapore working in the tourism and hospitality industry. His latest role was CEO of Q Lifestyle Group of Companies.
“Growing up in Winnipeg, I know that Assiniboine Park is a very special place,” said Keats.
“After seeing what APC has already achieved and the future plans for further redevelopment, it’s obvious that the park and zoo are on their way to being a world-renowned attraction and that’s something I’m very much looking forward to being a part of.”
Keats has more than 20 years of experience in tourism, customer experience, and operational management. He began his career in Winnipeg with the Manitoba Tourism Education Council first as director of sales and marketing and then as executive director.
Keats takes over for outgoing COO Don Peterkin, who will retire at the end of June.
