A free outdoor concert at The Forks on Thursday, July 28 will mark the one-year countdown to the 2017 Canada Summer Games.
Headlining acts include JP Hoe, Leonard Sumner, Kelly Bado, and Dirty Catfish Brass Band. DJ Mama Cutsworth will open and close the event.
Interactive activities hosted by 14 of the 16 Canada Summer Games sports will be on site throughout the evening.
“These Games represent another great opportunity to showcase our city and province to the rest of the country and this lineup is an exciting preview into what the 2017 Canada Summer Games festival has in store,” said Hubert Mesman, co-chair of the Games.
The free event takes place between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.
