Bomber Fans Asked to ‘Bring a Tin for the Bin’

June 23, 2016 3:16 PM | Sports

Fans attending Friday’s home opener between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Montreal Alouettes are being asked to bring a tin for the bin.

Purolator’s Tackle Hunger campaign will be located outside all gates at Investors Group Field and on the plaza to collect non-perishable food donations for Winnipeg Harvest.

Fans who make a donation can also get their photo taken with the CFL’s Grey Cup.

“Winnipeg Harvest’s vision is to help create a community that no longer requires food bank services. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers share this passion to move toward long-term solutions to tackling hunger in Winnipeg,” said Blue Bombers quarterback and campaign spokesperson Drew Willy.

Game time on Friday is 7:30 p.m.
