Brandon Police Service CrestA case of road rage has a 26-year-old Brandon man facing assault charges.

Police say the man allegedly punched another driver in the face on June 16 after being flipped the finger by a fellow motorist. The incident happened when the suspect began honking at another man for not turning right on the red light at 1st Street and Rosser Avenue. The motorist flipped the driver behind him the finger.

Once both motorists came to a rest at the next intersection — at 1st Street and Kirkaldy Drive — the suspect approached the victim’s vehicle and punched the driver in the face, police say.
