Police Investigate Homicide in Winnipeg’s Downtown

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police closed down major downtown arteries Tuesday to investigate the city’s latest homicide.

Police were called to the area of Portage Avenue and Donald Street at around 3:50 a.m. for a report of an injured man.

The victim succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Portage Avenue between Hargrave Street and Donald Street is closed to all traffic. Donald Street at Ellice Avenue is also closed. Closures and delays are expected to remain for several hours.

Police haven’t said if any arrests have been made.
