Motorists can expect to experience delays along north Pembina Highway as a major rehabilitation project gets underway.
Work has started on Pembina from Osborne Street to Grant Avenue as part of the $11.7 million project. Travel lanes, sidewalks and the addition of buffered bike lanes are all part of the plan.
The southbound median lane on Pembina Highway, from Osborne Street to Grant Avenue, is now closed to traffic.
Construction will take place over a period of two years. Southbound Pembina Highway construction will continue until October 2016. Northbound construction on Pembina from Grant Avenue to Osborne Street will take place in 2017.
