Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a crash that killed two people from Thompson on Tuesday night.
A 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were pedestrians when they were struck by a vehicle at around 11:50 p.m. RCMP say the teen was located deceased on the side of the road, while the older victim was found in a nearby ditch with serious injuries. He later died in hospital.
The two were walking on Thompson Drive with a group of friends when they were hit. The vehicle then hit a hydro pole and came to a stop.
A 22-year-old woman from Thompson was taken into custody at the scene.
Police are continuing to investigate.
