Winnipeg-based New Flyer Industries will begin work on an order for 26 diesel electric hybrid Xcelsior buses for Translink in Vancouver.
The 60-foot buses are part of an existing contract with Translink, who has exercised an option for the additional buses.
New Flyer will also manufacture 45 40-foot diesel buses and 51 40-foot compressed natural gas buses.
All 122 buses will be delivered to Translink over the next nine months.
