Slide the City (HANDOUT)
This might be the closest Winnipeg gets to experiencing a waterpark-like attraction.
Slide the City has a handful of last-minute tickets left for Saturday.
The giant slip-and-slide will be setting up in Headingley at Adrenaline Adventures.
“There will be live music, food, drinks, water, and of course the biggest slip and slide ever to hit asphalt,” organizers said.
“Don’t worry, we’ve got it padded. This slide’s got more cushion than your grandpa’s orthopedic sneakers.”
The large vinyl waterslide is as long as three football fields.
Early bird tickets and general admission already sold out. Last call tickets are $40 USD until midnight. Buying your ticket tomorrow will run you $45 USD.
Sliders will go down the hill in three waves depending on the time they choose. Admission cost also includes a tube, a mouth guard and a drawstring bag.
Slide the City runs from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
