A 56-year-old man from St. Jean Baptiste is facing second-degree murder charges after a woman was found deceased in the community on Sunday evening.
RCMP responded to a call at around 8 p.m. regarding a possible homicide at an apartment block.
Officers with the Morris detachment located a 54-year-old woman on Caron Street.
Danny Vanoosten was arrested at the scene and was known to the victim.
He remains in custody.
Police are continuing to investigate.
