One person was killed Tuesday afternoon after two vehicles collided and caught fire on Highway 6.
The crash happened at around 2 p.m. near Road 86N in the RM of Woodlands.
RCMP say a car was travelling northbound when it crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a pickup truck. The impact ignited both vehicles to catch fire and the lone occupant of the car was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the truck was pulled to safety by passersby and flown by STARS air ambulance to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are investigating what caused the crash.
The identity of the deceased hasn’t yet been confirmed.
