In 10 days, you won’t have to leave Winnipeg to take a trip around the world.
Folklorama is celebrating its 47th year and is packing two weeks worth of music, food and cultural experiences from around the world into 45 different pavilions.
“We are all ‘Woven Together’ to bring Folklorama to you as an essential part of the fabric of all our lives and what makes living here so wonderful,” said Debra Zoerb, executive director.
Folklorama is the largest and longest-running multicultural festival of its kind in the world.
The official kickoff is Saturday, July 23 at Memorial Park from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The free event includes main stage performances and workshops, cultural demonstrations, displays, and goods for purchase. New to the celebration this year is the international wine and beer garden.
Folklorama pavilions are $6 at the door, or a pack of 12 pavilions can be purchased for $54.
