WINNIPEG — Artwork from across the province is moving into the Pavilion Gallery Museum at Assiniboine Park next month.

From August 6-28, the museum will be populated with work from the Eastman, Interlake, northern and western regions of Manitoba.

The Manitoba Rural and Northern Juried Art Show is being put on by the Manitoba Arts Network.

An opening reception on August 7 is expected to draw 200 guests and artists. The exhibition itself will draw about 2,500 people, organizers say.

The show will include a wide range of art media, such as painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and textiles.

This exhibition is open and free to the public. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, with Wednesdays remaining open until 9 p.m. The opening reception will run from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on August 7.
