A 57-year-old man is in critical condition in a Winnipeg hospital after being assaulted Tuesday afternoon.
Police say it happened in the rear lane of the 600 block of Main Street at around 3:30 p.m.
A suspect was arrested a short time later in the area of Main Street and Higgins Avenue.
Aaron Bryan Houle, 33, has been charged with attempted murder, robbery, failing to comply with a probation order and possession of methamphetamine.
He remains in custody.
