Gunshots on Bannerman Avenue Leads to Homicide Investigation

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police are investigating a homicide after gunshots were heard in the area of the 100 block of Bannerman Avenue Thursday night.

Police and the tactical support team responded at around 11:30 p.m. to the multi-family residence.

Police say a man was shot inside a suite and transported to hospital, where he later died.

The victim has been identified as Kington Paul, 20, of Winnipeg.

On July 29, police arrested Erskine Ruggles, 61, and charged him with manslaughter with a firearm. He remains in custody.
