An unknown liquid was sprayed in the face of two Brandon police officers Friday after they approached a man who left the scene of an accident.
Two females were struck by a vehicle in the 3100 block of Victoria Avenue, but the suspect vehicle fled before police arrived. Neither of the two victims received serious injuries.
Police found the vehicle in the 1900 block of Hilton Avenue and spoke with the 60-year-old driver. The man took out a squeeze bottle and sprayed an unknown liquid in the face of the officers.
A Taser was used to subdue the man and he was arrested.
Both officers were treated and released from hospital.
The man faces several assault charges and remains in custody.
