Winnipeg Goldeyes outfielder Willie Cabrera will suit up on Tuesday for the 2016 American Association All-Star Game.
The Goldeyes acquired Cabrera from the Joplin Blasters on July 7. So far this season, he is batting .322 overall and has hit .347 with 13 RBIs, three home runs, and 25 hits in 17 games with Winnipeg.
The 29-year-old was also named a High-A Carolina League All-Star with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in 2008 and a Rookie Appalachian League All-Star when he played for the Danville Braves in 2006.
Cabrera will join Goldeyes’ outfielder David Rohm on the All-Star roster. The game is being held at CHS Field in St. Paul, Minnesota.
