Winnipeg police have made a second arrest in relation to a homicide near MTS Centre on July 5.
Cyril Quentin Weenusk, 26, was killed after being involved in an altercation with multiple people near Portage Avenue and Donald Street. The Oxford House man later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
Police have now charged Renelle McDougal, 20, of Winnipeg with second-degree murder.
Police released McDougal’s image last week from surveillance video, believing the suspect may have been a youth. He was arrested later that same day.
On July 15, police also charged Geordie Douglas Wood, 22, of St. Theresa Point with second-degree murder.
Both men remain in custody.
