Teen Groped on Winnipeg Transit Bus

Winnipeg Police CrestA 16-year-old girl was groped while riding a Winnipeg Transit bus Monday night.

It happened at around 9:45 p.m. on the route #17 bus when an unknown man sat next to her. Police say the victim was groped before a woman passenger intervened. The teen moved to the front of the bus and alerted the driver. She was not physically harmed.

Police say the suspect denied the accusation and fled the bus in the area of McDermot Avenue and Frances Street.

He is described as an aboriginal man between the ages of 20 and 30, approximately 6’2″ in height, skinny build, with dark, thick curly hair. He was wearing a cast on his right hand.
