Tragically Hip’s Final Concert to Screen at the Cube Stage

WINNIPEG — The Cube stage in Old Market Square is the latest venue to screen The Tragically Hip’s final concert on August 20.

The Exchange District BIZ will host the live CBC broadcast from their band’s hometown performance in Kingston, Ontario.

“It’s events like this that show the Exchange District really is the place to be,” said Brian Timmerman, executive director of the Exchange District BIZ. “We are proud to work with our businesses to bring Winnipeggers a unique Tragically Hip experience.”

The BIZ will also set up lounge-type beer gardens for Hip fans to enjoy while watching the show.

“The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration” will air at 7:30 p.m.

Other local venues screening the concert include Assiniboine Park and the West End Cultural Centre.
