A viewing lounge of the Rio 2016 Olympics is allowing shoppers at Polo Park mall to cheer on Team Canada.
The lounges provide free daily coverage, contests and giveaways to mall visitors at 10 Cadillac Fairview properties across the country.
On Friday, 2012 Olympic silver medalist Janine Hanson (Stephens) will greet fans in the lounge between 3-5 p.m. Hanson won her Olympic hardware four years ago competing on the women’s eight rowing team.
The Olympic viewing lounge is located in the mall’s centre court and is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The lounge will be open Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
