Two people are in hospital and another two are in custody after multiple stabbings on Magnus Avenue.
Winnipeg police were called out to the 500 block of Magnus at around 3:55 a.m. Thursday for an assault. Officers on the scene were quickly called to the 600 block after a 34-year-old man was stabbed in the upper body.
Police believe the victim was stabbed while walking in the 500 block, but later collapsed nearby. He had been confronted by two men at the time.
About 20 minutes later, police were called back to the 500 block of Magnus Avenue where a 32-year-old man was stabbed. He had witnessed the first stabbing and was then confronted by the same suspects.
The first victim was transported to hospital in critical condition, while the second man was listed in unstable condition.
Two men were arrested in the area.
Police are continuing to investigate.
