RingetteIt’s a chance for children to try ringette and get introduced to a new sport they wouldn’t normally otherwise try.

Come Try Ringette Day is a free event at MTS Iceplex on Sunday, August 21 for children between the ages of three and 10.

“We understand that parents have a number of choices for their children’s activities, and that it can be difficult to decide what sport might be best at this age”, said Nicki Burbank, player development coordinator for Ringette Manitoba.

Burbank says the day will include children getting up close with the sport, stepping on the ice and learning new skills.

“And to have while they are here,” she added.

Parents can register their kids for one of four on-ice sessions between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Manitoba’s new national ringette league team will also play a feature at 1:30 p.m.
