One person was killed Sunday after being struck by a semi-trailer truck while attempting to cross Highway 1 west of Winnipeg.
RCMP say the vehicle was travelling northbound on Highway 5 when the driver tried to cross the Trans-Canada Highway at around 8:30 p.m.
The vehicle ignited in flames upon impact and the driver’s identity hasn’t been determined.
The driver of the semi wasn’t injured.
RCMP are continuing to investigate.
