Police Seize $19K, Marijuana in Headingley Traffic Stop

RCMP Logo VehicleYou could say this speeding ticket cost a Hamilton, Ontario man $19,000.

RCMP pulled over a speeding vehicle around 1 p.m. near Headingley on August 11 just west of Winnipeg.

Police found a small quantity of marijuana and $19,000 in cash inside the vehicle. It’s believed the cash originated from criminal activity.

Michael Samdass, 36, was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a controlled substance.

Both the vehicle and cash were seized.
