Two people were arrested Wednesday night just west of Dauphin after crashing the same vehicle while allegedly intoxicated.
Manitoba RCMP were called after a two-vehicle collision just west of the city on Highway 5 about 1.5 km east of Highway 10.
A 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass collided with a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck while attempting to make a U-turn. The Silverado ended up in the ditch.
The driver of the car fled on foot as police were approaching the scene and hid in some nearby bush. His female passenger got behind the wheel and drove away, while running off the road after about 500 metres.
The man was located and taken into custody, along with his passenger. Both face charges of impaired driving.
No one was seriously injured in the incident.
