WINNIPEG — A 26-year-old woman from God’s Lake Narrows is in police custody after attempting to run over pedestrians at The Forks on Saturday.
Police say the woman drove a Dodge Caravan up on the sidewalk in an effort to mow over pedestrians at around 3:40 p.m.
She then verbally threatened a security guard in the area before taking off.
Police caught up to the woman minutes later leaving The Forks and turning southbound onto Main Street.
The driver was arrested and assaulted two police officers while in custody.
Delia Ashley Clarke faces several charges, including impaired driving and driving while disqualified.
She remains in custody.
