Six local farmers and one chef will sit down for a dinner on Thursday, September 8 to engage the community through a culinary tour of Manitoba.
The Farmers’ Feast is an annual fundraiser for the St. Norbert Farmers’ Market, where five gourmet courses will be served, all featuring Manitoba products.
Chef Ben Kramer has been a part of the event since it began in 2009, saying it’s a way to introduce Manitobans to local producers.
The feast will be held under the canopies of the market, where each dish highlights a farmer, who will share stories from their farms as the courses are served.
Funds raised support the development of the St. Norbert Farmers’ Market Winter Market.
Tickets are $125 each and can be purchased online or at the information booth at the market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
