This weekend’s Morden Corn and Apple Festival is being honoured with a Celebrate Manitoba designation.
As the festival marks its 50th year, the province will present a framed certificate to recognize the event’s achievements.
“This festival is a highlight of each summer’s festival season in Manitoba, offering a wide array of entertainment, activities and, of course, delicious free corn on the cob and apple juice,” said Sport, Culture and Heritage Minister Rochelle Squires.
Highlights include the traditional corn on the cob, cooked fresh in front of the thousands who will line up all weekend long, free entertainment on two outdoor stages, historical bus tours of Morden, local artists and artisans, a midway, and a petting zoo.
The festival runs August 26-28. For a schedule of events, visit cornandapple.com.
