The Winnipeg Goldeyes are on fire this season and will make their latest appearance in the post-season beginning Wednesday night.
The Fish are hosting the Wichita Wingnuts to begin the 2016 American Association Championship Series at Shaw Park.
The Series shifts to Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in Wichita, Kansas for game 3 on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The “if necessary” games 4 and 5 also take place in Wichita on Sunday (5:05 p.m.) and Monday (7:05 p.m.)
The Goldeyes solidified their trip to the playoffs Monday night after beating the St. Paul Saints (2-3) 3-1 in the winner-take-all Division Series finale at CHS Field.
“After we won last night, I just said thank you, because I get one more day to match up against (St. Paul starter Mark) Hamburger, who’s the best in the league,” Goldeyes designated hitter Adam Heisler said after the game.
Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster and the Goldeyes box office.
