Two Charged After Stolen Pickup Truck Rolls

Winnipeg Police CrestTwo men are in custody after a stolen Dodge Dakota rolled several times early Saturday morning.

It happened at around 5:30 a.m. in the area of Burrows Avenue and Gilbert Avenue.

Winnipeg police report the truck was travelling westbound on Burrows at a high rate of speed when it lost control.

The 23-year-old driver, who police say was allegedly impaired, suffered serious injuries and is in stable condition.

He faces charges of driving while impaired, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and failing to comply with a probation order.

His passenger, a 22-year-old man, has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
