Northbound Arlington Street from Machray Avenue to Inkster Boulevard is closed as of 6 a.m. this morning for road repairs.
The city anticipates the closure to last approximately one week, at which time the northbound lanes will reopen and the southbound lanes will close for repairs to last another week.
Traffic in both directions is expected to be flowing again by Thursday, October 6.
Pedestrian access will be permitted on the west sidewalk while this work is underway.
Motorists should use alternate routes such as McPhillips Street or Salter Street.
