The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce will name Wadood Ibrahim as its new chair at their upcoming annual general meeting.
Ibrahim is the co-founder of the Protegra community of software-driven businesses.
“I’m interested in forging deeper connections between The Chamber, non-profits, charities, government and educational institutions,” said Ibrahim.
“New models of social enterprise and private-public partnerships not only hold the seeds of technical and organizational innovation, but can boost the impact Winnipeggers have with their lives.”
Mayor Brian Bowman will swear Ibrahim in during the AGM at the Radisson Winnipeg on October 6.
