A 17-year-old girl was thrown from her vehicle early Saturday morning after it rolled just west of Headingley.
RCMP were called to the scene at around 4:45 a.m. and found the vehicle in the south ditch on the Trans-Canada Highway just east of Gaol Road in the RM of Cartier.
Police say the vehicle was travelling eastbound at the time when the driver was ejected. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, but police say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
