WINNIPEG — The public will get an updated look on Thursday at the plans underway for the Waverley underpass.
The city is holding an open house on the $155 million project at the Caboto Centre, 1055 Wilkes Avenue.
The open house is a chance to see a detailed design for the underpass, learn about pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, intersection and road improvements, as well as construction timelines and detours.
Two sessions will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Between 35 and 40 trains move through the busy south Winnipeg intersection daily.
Construction is set to begin in early 2017, with a projected completion date of December 2019.
