WINNIPEG — A 52-year-old man was shot early Wednesday during a home invasion in West Kildonan.
It happened at around 4:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Newton Avenue when unknown suspects forced their way into a home. Winnipeg police say they demanded money and made threats while armed with a gun.
During the altercation, the gun was fired and struck the resident. He was taken to hospital in critical condition and was later upgraded to stable condition.
Police don’t have a description of the suspects and continue to investigate.
