A 23-year-old man has died after being stabbed in the 300 block of Springfield Road Thursday morning.
Emergency personnel responded to the area at around 3:10 a.m. and found the victim suffering from critical injuries. He was rushed to hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has been identified as Scott Tates of Winnipeg.
Police have charged Christopher Blair McDougall, 28, of Winnipeg with second-degree murder and assault causing bodily harm.
The two men were known to each other and became involved in a dispute. Police say the suspect left the area and then returned with a weapon.
McDougall remains in custody.
