A purple glow will cast itself over Investors Group Field tonight for World Mental Health Day.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are illuminating the stadium to join an international list of landmarks raising awareness of mental health on October 10 and the Amanda Todd Legacy Project by “Lighting Up Purple.”

“We are proud to shine a light on the extremely important issues surrounding mental health in our community,” said Wade Miller, president and CEO of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. “It is our hope that this sparks and continues conversations about mental health and bullying.”

It’s the second year the Bombers turning up the purple lights, and the fourth year of the Amanda Todd Legacy project.

The purple hue will be visible from 6:30 p.m to 10 p.m.
