The 28th annual Koats for Kids campaign is firing up on Wednesday to gather winter gear donations.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service members will be collecting coats, mitts, hats, boots and snow pants at the United Way between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Anyone who drops off a donation to 580 Main Street will be entered to win a last-minute pair of Kanye West tickets for that night or a pair of Winnipeg Blue Bombers tickets.
Since 1989, Koats for Kids has collected and distributed winter gear, free of charge, to help keep thousands of Winnipeg children warm and able to safely attend school and play with friends during Winnipeg winters.
