Woman Seriously Injured in Weekend Crash on Roblin Boulevard

RCMP Logo VehicleA 25-year-old woman was seriously injured on Saturday after being trapped inside a vehicle that hit the ditch on Roblin Boulevard.

The crash happened at around 4:15 a.m. in the RM of Headingley.

The 24-year-old male driver exited the vehicle, but his passenger needed to be extricated. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is listed in stable condition. Both occupants were from Winnipeg.

RCMP say the vehicle was travelling eastbound on Roblin when it hit a driveway approach and flipped, hitting a large and a light pole.

Both occupants were wearing seatbelts. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
