Two Manitoba teens are in hospital with life-threatening injuries after their vehicle rolled just south of Steinbach on Saturday afternoon.

RCMP were called to Hanover Road West (Provincial Road 34) at around 1:45 p.m. Police say the westbound car went off the road and rolled into the south ditch, colliding with some trees.

The 16-year-old driver, from the RM of Ste. Anne, and a 16-year-old passenger, from Steinbach, were taken to hospital in critical condition.

Both teens were wearing seatbelts and alcohol doesn’t appear to be a factor.

Police are continuing to investigate.
