WINNIPEG — Free influenza vaccine clinics to prevent against catching the flu open across Winnipeg today.

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is operating 10 clinics from October 25-27. That’s one less day than normal due to many people receiving the vaccine through their own doctor or at a pharmacy.

“Getting the flu shot not only protects you, as the recipient, but your loved ones as well including your children, siblings, parents, friends and colleagues,” said Dr. Fatoye, medical officer of health with the WRHA.

“Each of us shares the responsibility to help prevent the spread of flu.”

A list of flu shot locations can be found at WRHA.mb.ca/flu or by downloading the Connected Care app.
