A 27-year-old Brandon man died Friday after the pickup truck he was driving rear-ended a semi-trailer truck in the RM of Cornwallis.
The crash happened at around 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway and Provincial Road 101 West.
RCMP say the truck hit the back of the semi that had turned into the westbound lane of the highway.
The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 45-year-old Newdale man driving the semi wasn’t injured.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol is not considered a factor.
