Manitoba’s Bothwell Cheese was singled out at the recent 89th Annual British Empire Cheese Show.

Bothwell earned top spots for its Monterey Jack and Mild Cheddar, while also taking second place with its Muenster and third place with its Parmesan.

“This year’s British Empire Cheese Show was exceptionally tough with many new entries in the speciality class,” said Bothwell Cheese production manager Nathan Dueck.

“Despite the strong competition, we placed well in the specialty categories and took home two first place spots. Our team should be very proud of these accomplishments.”

Bothwell Cheese was founded in New Bothwell, Manitoba in 1936 by a group of local dairy farmers.
