A two-vehicle crash on the Perimeter Highway Tuesday morning sent a Winnipeg man to hospital with serious injuries.

The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. just east of Wenzel Street.

RCMP say a westbound car was struck by an eastbound car when it crossed the median.

The 26-year-old Winnipeg man in the eastbound car was taken to hospital, while the 42-year-old man from Landmark, Manitoba in the other vehicle wasn’t injured.

Police say the eastbound driver was not wearing a seatbelt, while the westbound driver was buckled up.

Alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the collision.

Police continue to investigate.
