A woman was struck and killed while walking on the Perimeter Highway Friday evening near Dawson Road.
RCMP and Winnipeg police received reports at around 6:30 p.m. that the woman was walking alone in the westbound passing lane.
As they were responding to the scene, they received an update that the woman had been hit. She was pronounced deceased at the scene and police are working to identify her.
RCMP are asking anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious or been in the area of the time of the collision to contact them at (204) 204-984-6913.
“This includes seeing a vehicle dropping off a person near the scene of the collision or the victim walking in the area,” a statement said.
