A 31-year-old Winnipeg man has been charged after allegedly uploading child pornography.
The National Centre for Child Protection was alerted on October 17, 2015 that images of child abuse had been uploading from a Winnipeg IP address.
The Winnipeg Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit began their investigation and located the computer and its user. A search warrant on October 6, 2016 turned up hundreds of child pornography images, ranging in age from girls between two and 13-years-old.
Joseph Higgins was arrested on Tuesday and faces charges of possession and making available child pornography. He remains in custody.
