3 Steps to #MakeNiceHappen (THINK SHIFT)

A Winnipeg advertising agency is playing Santa Claus this holiday season to allow underprivileged local youth to find gifts at a pop-up shop.

Think Shift’s annual Make Nice Happen campaign has partnered up with students from R.B Russell Vocational High School for a one-day shopping trip of items donated from the community.

“Make Nice Happen is our way to give back to the community that provides so much for our employees and our clients,” said Michelle Braun, co-organizer and graphic designer at Think Shift. “Our goal is to make this year’s event our most successful yet, and in order to do that we are reaching out for the public’s support.”

Monetary donations are being accepted on a GoFundMe page. Gift items being accepted include toys, outerwear, housewares, and clothing. Donations can be dropped off to Think Shift’s office at A-120 Donald Street or by e-mailing makenicehappen@thinkshiftinc.com to arrange a pick-up.

In 2015, the event distributed more than 2,500 gifts to more than 500 people in need.

This year’s Make Nice Happen is December 18.
